Issue:
What is the tube diameter for Pueblo air cooled products?
Resolution:
Condenser Tubes
All Pueblo built RTAC and CGAM air cooled condensers use 0.375 inch (9.5 mm) outside diameter copper tubes. The tube has a nominal wall thickness of 0.017 inch (0.4318 mm) and a minimum bottom wall thickness of 0.0117 inch (0.2972 mm). The internally finned seamless copper tubes are mechanically bonded to the fins.
For information on RTAE condenser tubes, see RTAE Condenser Coil Tube.
Evaporator Tubes
The RTAC evaporator uses 1.0 inch (25.4 mm) outside diameter copper tubes. The tube has a nominal wall thickness and bottom wall thickness of 0.025 inch (0.635 mm). Standard tubes are externally finned, internally enhanced seamless copper with lands at all tube sheets.
The RTAE and RTAF evaporator uses 0.75" (19.05 mm) outside diameter copper tubes. The tube has a nominal wall thickness of 0.025" (0.635 mm). The tube is internally and externally finned. (Applicable to the ACRA)
The RTAA evaporator uses 0.625 inch (15.9 mm) outside diameter copper tubes. The tube has a nominal wall thickness of 0.020 inch (0.508 mm) and a bottom wall thickness of 0.0228 inch (0.579 mm). The tubes are internally finned and roller expanded into the tube sheets.
