Issue:
Can temperature sensor wires be cut?
Resolution:
- The connections at the modules are done with Amp MTA connectors and those are best made with a special tool
- If the service technician cuts the cable, it is important to end up with the spliced connection inside the cabinet
- The splice should never be made with wire nuts or butt splices
- The wires must be cleaned bright and soldered with rosin core solder
- Shrink-wrap should be applied over the splice
