- Check the four LED's on the CLD Module (Display or 1U6).
- The ST LED should be on continuously...if it blinks it indicates the processor is repeatedly being reset.
- The +5V Dc LED should also be on continuously. It will go out if power drops below normal operating voltage.
- The TX LED should blink every second or two as the 1U6 transmits on the IPC link.
- The RX LED should blink continuously, indicating that other modules are communicating.
- The display communicates with the Chiller Module (1U1) via a twisted IPC link.
- The link originates on TB1 -1 of the 1U6 and then goes to the P11 connector on the 1U1. From there it daisy chains to the other modules.
- Try to isolate just the 1U1 and the 1U6 on the buss by removing the P51, P41, P31 and P21 (options module may not be present) connectors. If the keys are functional, bring on the modules one at a time until the suspect board is found.
- Inspect the display for signs of moisture that may have corroded the display. If noticeable corrosion is present, try cleaning printed circuit board with isopropyl alcohol.
- Check TP voltages on the Chiller Module.
