Issue:
Solid State Starter Faulty Relay Open...UCP2
Resolution:
Discussion: UCP2 Solid State Starter Faulty Relay Open diagnostic was active in ALL modes. If the Starter Drive Fault Input is found to be opened, J7-3 to J7-4 while UCP2 Controls are powered, the latching diagnostic Solid State Starter Faulty Relay Open will lock-out the chiller. A manual Reset will need to be performed, even though the chiller was never operating. This diagnostic was present in ALL previous versions of UCP2 Software.
Solution: Problem was corrected in the -22 starter module ( X13650453-22, MOD01232, Rev. AG ). If you experience this problem, replace the UCP2 Starter Module.
Notes:
This problem could affect UCP2 starter modules on Centra Vac and Screw Chillers.
If the Starter Fault Input opens during an MPL or Power Loss before the Controls shut down (2-3 seconds), this diagnostic would be active and lock out the chiller.
