At what value should the low pressure switch open?
Resolution:
RTAA, RTWA, RTUA 70-125 TON Chillers:
The low pressure switch is a normally OPEN switch which should open when the refrigerant charge in the circuit is at 7 psig or lower (+/- 10%).
For low pressure diagnostics:
- Verify charge
- Could be a bad switch or schrader
- EXV not opening
Low pressure switch is installed on a Schrader valve
