Issue:
No communication, Data not valid diagnostic
Resolution:
- If the communication link between the clear language display (CLD) and the control processor module (CPM) is disrupted, the alarm "No Communication, Data not Valid" will be displayed.
- Inspect the interprocessor communication (IPC) link between the two modules, ensuring that the plugs are securely connected.
- Examine the wiring for any breaks and check the plugs for signs of corrosion or poor fit.
- Verify that the IPC link is not incorrectly connected with reversed polarity or to the wrong pins. For example, on the RTAA and RTWA chillers, the 1U2 options module should be connected at J1-1 and 2, not J2-1 and 2.
- A malfunctioning transceiver or other internal component failure may also be the cause of this issue.
Facts:
- Air-Cooled Chiller (Pueblo) (RTAA 130-400 Ton)
