Issue:
Is it necessary to change out the relief valves every 5 years?
Resolution:
- Trane does not have any standard set of recommendations on relief valve issues as there can be variations in local code requirements from each jurisdiction.
- When there are questions pertaining to the application, maintenance, sizing of vent lines, etc., of the chiller's relief valves, the factory recommendation is to defer to local code requirements and comply with them.
