ISSUE:
LLID control module is being damaged when the EXV motor windings are shorted.
RESOLUTION:
- If you have a LLID control module that has been damaged when plugging it into the EXV motor it could be a short in the motor winding resistance.
- The following winding resistance check will determine if you have a bad EXV motor.
- Perform this check prior to replacing the LLID control module otherwise you will damage the new LLID.
Checkout Procedure:
- Using an Ohmmeter, perform the following steps
- Each coil should be approximately 75-100 ohms on opposite pins
- Adjacent pins must read OPEN
- Pins to valve body must read OPEN
