- In April of 2018, there was a design sequence change for RTAF chillers.
- The design sequence changed from AE to AF (digits 10 and 11 in the model number).
-
What changes are associated with the design change?
- The Bray actuated suction valve has been removed and replaced with a manual suction service valve
- pressure transducers 3BP5 and 4BP5 have been removed
- receiver tanks have been added to each circuit and solenoids 3M25 and 4M25 have been added.
- The 115 ton - 215 ton RTAF chillers now utilize receiver tanks & solenoid valves, like the 230 ton to 500 ton RTAF chillers do for managing refrigerant with reduced internal condenser volume (MCHE).
- The RTAF Electrical Packages that ship with the chiller are being updated, but currently don't include the design sequence AF changes.
- Please see the attached marks up for both the Refrigerant and Oil System Schematic, and the Electrical Schematics.
