Programming:
Programming can be done in flow or no-flow conditions
After connecting the battery box to the SC0505, the Testpak will respond with a 15 second output
The use of a clock timer for programming is recommended.
- Press the teach button (red button) for 5 seconds
- Release the teach button for 5 seconds
- Press the teach button again for the desired switch-point/velocity (60 seconds for 60/s; 15 seconds for 15 cm/s, etc..)
- Release the teach button. After 5-second delay:
- With no flow, the SC0505 will respond with an equivalent output (ex. 60 seconds for 60 cm/s).
- With flow, the SC0505 output will turn off for an equivalent time (ex. 60 seconds for 60 cm/s)
- After 5 seconds, the sensor returns to monitoring mode. The switch-point/velocity is adjusted.
Velocity:
There are five (5) different velocities available
- X13790871010 >>> 15 CM/S (Green - label)
- X13790871020 >>> 35 CM/S (White - label)
- X13790871030 >>> 45 CM/S (Yellow - label)
- X13790871040 >>> 60 CM/S (Orange - label)
- X13790871050 >>> 25 CM/S (Lt. Blue - label)
See programming steps above to program the required velocity into the switch.
PART NUMBERS SHOULD BE VERIFIED BY TRANE PARTS

NOTE: Switch installed by the factory is based on the original selection (application) for the chiller conditions. If for example a chiller was ordered for a water only application and the customer decides after the chiller has shipped to add glycol, a new selection will need to be ran by the salesperson using TOPPS to determine what the new Flow Switch Setpoint will be. The setpoint can be found under the General header.
